Come and Dance with us
Dance teacher wanted. Colourful Moving Fun!
Confetti Dance is located in the inner and southern Adelaide suburbs and fosters an inclusive and safe home for young children to dance, laugh and use their imagination. Confetti Dance looks a little different to the traditional dance school but we find that difference supports our wonderful families and community. We support our young dancers by enjoying smaller studio based end of year presentation classes to share our dancing with our families, there is no studio uniform (although there are often LOTS of Elsa dresses) and possibly most importantly, we allow parents and carers in to our classroom at all times.
Confetti Dance offers Ballet, Jazz and Music and Movement classes for children 18 months to 10 years.
We are looking for a fun, passionate, kind, caring individual who relishes in working with our youngest dancers. Your strengths come from your storytelling, working with children at their level, your creative and fun nature and your passion for engaging and encouraging children to grow in our safe and supported environment.
What you would be doing
You would join us as a teaching assistant/co-teacher first, with the view to commence your own classes on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at Glandore (other days may be available too). Our programs are wonderfully and carefully crafted, with poppy age appropriate music, silly stories and our class characters Confetti the Toucan, Marshmallow and Sparkles.
You would work alongside a teacher with significant experience in preschool dance teaching, who will provide mentorship and guidance as you gain experience and skills in not only our programs but in classroom management and supporting a wide range of children and families.
You may be looking to fill in a couple of mornings a week teaching or perhaps you are just returning to the workforce and the idea of dancing in a land of unicorns and rainbows sounds like somewhere you can let your creative imagination roam.
This might be you if
❤️You love dance and little people
💜You are patient, warm, kind and nurturing
💚You can bring energy, imagination and a good dose of silliness to a room full of 3 to 5 year olds
💙You are happy to have parents in the room (we love it!)
💛You are reliable and you turn up with a smile
You don't need to be a professional dancer or have a teaching qualification. Some dance in your background is lovely, and you might be a primary school teacher, an early childhood educator or someone who danced right through to Year 12. What matters is that you are confident with very young children and love sharing dance.

Keeping our dancers safe
Confetti Dance works under strict child safety policies. Everyone who teaches holds a valid Working with Children Check and a current first aid certificate before their first class, completes mandated notifier training and signs our code of conduct. Don't have them yet? You can still apply, but you will need to organise your own Working with Children Check and first aid certificate before you start. You can read more on our Child Safe Policy page.
